Welcome to…. The Psychoanalytic Center of
Philadelphia The Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia is a non-profit
organization founded in 1939 to promote the study and practice of
psychoanalysis. The Center is affiliated with the American Psychoanalytic
Association and the International Psychoanalytic Association. The Center’s
mission includes education, research and community service. In its educational
mission, the Center provides high quality education and training programs to
mental health professionals and to select professionals from other fields
whose work would benefit from an understanding of psychoanalytic theory and
practice. The Center’s programs include both adult and child Psychoanalytic
training programs taught from a contemporary perspective, both adult and
child Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy training programs, a Fellowship program
offering one- and two-year fellowships to both clinical and non-clinical
applicants, and Continuing Education Programs which provide a variety of
opportunities for mental health clinicians to maintain and improve their
clinical awareness and skills. The
community service mission of the Center is designed to provide a variety of
programs which offer either direct clinical services or professional
consultation to community agencies or community education about mental health
