We provide a vibrant center for the ongoing exchange of psychoanalytic ideas, theories, and controversies, bringing together a lively group of multi-disciplinary thinkers and practitioners. Our speakers are diverse and renowned nationally and internationally for their contributions to contemporary analytic thought and practice.
Programs cover the spectrum of psychoanalytic theories of the mind, from the classical to the radical, and their application to understanding the depths of human experience. We collaborate with the University of Pennsylvania with whom we share the Freud, Franklin and Beyond programs and Jefferson Medical College, a co-sponsor of the Margaret Mahler Symposium on Child Development. From time to time we collaborate with other organizations including the Philadelphia Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology and the Pennsylvania Society for Clinical Social Work.
The 2011-2012 Psychoanalytic Forum Series is Designed to Promote Greater Dialogue on the Topic of Trauma.
