PCOP Membership Categories

Psychoanalytic Membership

Senior: Open to all those active members who have attained the age of 70 or have completed 30 years of active membership. This class is by choice of the active member and is not automatic. Senior Member dues are reduced according to Article 9D of the Bylaws.
Year 1-3: 1/3 reduction of Standard Active Membership Dues $708
Year 4-6: 2/3 reduction of Standard Active Membership Dues $354
Year 7 and on: Member becomes dues exempt upon request

Active: Open to those who have graduated with a clinical certificate from a Psychoanalytic Institute accredited by the American Psychoanalytic Association or by the International Psychoanalytic Association, or with training deemed comparable by the Membership Committee and Coordinating Committee.
Dues $1062.

CHILD: Open to those who have graduates from the Child Psychoanalytic Training Program. Dues $1062.

Psychoanalytic Affiliate: Open to candidates receiving clinical training in the Center’s Psychoanalytic Institute. Dues $154.

Corresponding: Open to Active or Senior members who are geographically removed from the Philadelphia area. Dues $362.

Academic Psychoanalytic Associate: Open to those who have graduated with an academic, rather than clinical, certificate from a Psychoanalytic Institute accredited by the American Psychoanalytic Association, or with training deemed comparable by the Membership Committee and the Coordinating Committee.
Dues $362.

Clinical Psychoanalytic Associate: Open to those who have had significant psychoanalytic training from a non-American Psychoanalytic Association or non-International Psychoanalytic Association Institute, and/or have demonstrated an extensive contribution to psychoanalysis. Dues $362.

Adjunct Psychoanalytic Associate: Open to non-graduates of the Center’s Psychoanalytic Institute who have completed a significant part of their training.
Dues $362.

Psychoanalytic Academic Affiliate:Open to candidates receiving academic, non-clinical training in the Center’s Psychoanalytic Institute. Dues $154.

Psychotherapy Membership

Psychotherapy Associate: Open to those who have graduated from the Center’s Adult or Child Psychotherapy Training Programs. Dues $362.

Psychotherapy Student: Open to students in the Center’s Adult and Child Psychotherapy Programs. Tuition Only.

Other Memberships

Fellow 1st Year: Open to those in the Center’s Fellowship Program. Dues included in administrative fee. $450

Fellow 2nd Year: Open to those in the Center’s Fellowship Program. Dues included in administrative fee.$300

Fellowship Associate Open to those who have completed the Center’s Fellowship Program. Dues $100.

aPt ASSOCIATE: Open to those with an interest in psychoanalytic thought who are accepted for membership by aPt and has not completed a PCOP Fellowship or the program in psychoanalysis or psychotherapy. Dues $85; Couples/Families $125; Full time students $25.

Friend: Open by invitation to those who have demonstrated support for and/or participated in activities of the Center. No dues.

Honorary: Open to distinguished persons who have made significant contributions to psychoanalysis. Names shall be proposed by a petition of three Active/Senior Members to the Membership Committee. No dues.

Student Affiliate: Open to college and university undergraduates and graduate students who have an interest in learning more about psychoanalysis. Dues $25.

ALL OTHER MEMBERSHIPS (aPt ASSOCIATE, FELLOW ASSOCIATE, FRIEND, HONORARY AND STUDENT AFFILIATE) RECEIVE BASIC BENEFITS ONLY.
