Welcome to the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia

The Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia (PCOP) is a
non-profit organization founded in 1939 to promote
the study and practice of psychoanalysis.

The Center is affiliated with the American Psychoanalytic Association and the International Psychoanalytic Association. Its mission includes education, research, and community service.

The Center’s programs include both adult and child Psychoanalytic education programs as taught from a contemporary perspective; both adult and child Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy programs; a Fellowship program offering one- and two-year fellowships to both clinical and non-clinical applicants; and other Continuing Education Programs.
